With Summer here (taken it’s time) we’re naming this week as “tropical week”. I’m forever wanting to escape to sunnier climes and constantly inspired by the interiors of tropical getaways and Hollywood heights. But tropical interior looks can be interpreted in different ways which is why for this blog post I decided to put together three different styles, which you can shop on Oh What’s This.

Tropical Glamour
If you can see yourself dining at this rather sumptuous tropical table then this look is for you. I’m hankering for soft teals with splashes of pink, which this room combines perfectly. It’s designed by Virginia Gasch using fringed orb lighting, tropical De Gournay wallpaper and that mirrored ceiling which makes it seem like the room never ends. We wish it didn’t have to.

2. Victorian Hollywood
Hollywood regency is one of my favourite interior looks and the beautiful home of Henri Fitzwilliam Lay shows how to combine english heritage with a splash of glamour perfectly. I love this tropical bedroom which mixes tropical wallpaper with touches of beachside rattan and the glamour of leopard. This has sparked a whole host of ideas for me.

3. Tropical Getaway
Of course the first 2 looks use the maximalist approach (my favourite) to tropical interiors, but what about tropical villas which ooze simplicity? This post by @theinteriortailor inspired my final look, “Tropical Getaway” which focuses on textures like bamboo and rattan, botanical green, and lots of white.
