Tuesday’s are just a bit meh aren’t they. It’s not the middle of the week and it certainly isn’t close to Friday. Because of this I thought a weekly Tuesday trend alert would really brighten things up a bit, don’t you think? This week it’s all about arty Lines. No, not the lines appearing on my face as I approach 30 at full speed, but brushstroke line art that forms artistic masterpieces for our walls.

Line Art is something we’ve always loved, but it seems to be on everyone’s radar recently. The amazing Line Art we have on OWT is created by Peytil, a Stockholm based art project founded by the amazing designer and illustrator Eitil Thorén Due.

Peytil’s work reflects a graffiti-like spontaneity with focus on fashion illustrations and urban portraits. His painting style is inspired by fashion and the motifs are contemporary. We think there’s something really free about line art, the fluidity of the lines has a calming effect and not just to look at. Head over to our Insta to watch Eitil paint. S a t i s f i y i n g.

How To Style Line Art

So you’ve got some new amazing art, how do you style it? Line Art is perfect standing alone in an incredible frame, or as a series of statement artworks on a wall. Style in a gallery wall, or choose a statement standalone piece.

For a dramatic effect, we recommend styling one of these black and white prints in an old brass vintage frame.

Let’s take a look at some inspiration:
