Stop everything you’re doing. We love a shop design feature on OWT, especially when they look THIS DAMN GOOD. The new Aquazzura boutique in New York deserves more than a double tap on Instagram. Designed by interior designer, Ryan Korban the flagship boutique cleverly combines it’s Italian roots with contemporary big apple. The unbelievable black and white stripes are inspired by the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella in Florence, creating a holy homage to Aquazurra’s birthplace, but this time filled with heels.
The store design is so beautiful you will want to remove your shoes on entry, even if you’re just browsing. The space combines all of the materials we are currently / always coveting; marble, pink velvet, and gold and is the meaning of pretty in pink.
‘I love that this space has a unique soul from my other stores. I wanted it to feel like madison avenue’s very own ‘church of shoes’.’ – Edgardo 0sorio, creative director of Aquazzura
Let’s take a look inside:
Here’s a closer look at the pink marble and brass detail on the floors:
The front of the Aquazzura store is perfectly glass fronted, showing the black and white archways inside. How could you not go in?
What could be more luxe than gold, marble and velvet? We can’t think of a better combination for the home of these heels.
The shoes are showcased in luxe gold shelving, dotted around the store. And, underneath this beautiful dome archway:
Here’s a closer look at those striped archways, we don’t envy the decorator at all, but what an impact they make:
Don’t you think that blush pink gives the perfect backdrop to this soft and luxury shopping experience?
Lastly, we love how the antique mirror below gives the feeling of infinite space with a symmetrical reflection. This beauty should be allowed to go on forever.
