Two words; House Envy. This is a house that has to be shared. The glamorous interiors of this 6 storey townhouse in West London was a two year project with Suzy Hoodless in charge of interior design and Michaelis Boyd Architects. It features a whole mix of design we love like Crittall, dark spaces, mid century, and touches of glamour……..
The glamorous interiors:
Well, what more can be said really? Walk into this hallway and you can see through the entire home, even out into the garden. We love the natural light, and pops of green.
The kitchen is understated glamour. With a black marble kitchen bar, black iron beams and black cupboards. The brass lighting adds a touch of chic to the dark space.
The pendant lights in this stairway add a contemporary touch to this classic hallway, leading your eye up those beautiful stairs.
This is where the glamorous interiors kick in full throttle. We love the luxe elements like that grey velvet sofa, the statement chandelier, the gigantic berber rug and low white stone coffee table.
And, not to mention that fireplace.
I’ll take the window seat please. These yellow chairs pop against the dark black shutters, what a combination.
A closer look
Glamorous interiors are always best when there is a little bit of balance. The luxe elements are paired back with understated features like the wooden window table and chairs.
From this angle you can see how those yellow chairs really do make the room.
This understated table sits beautifully in the light corner, don’t you think?
Moving on to the show stopping office, which is probably our favourite room of the house. Firstly, it’s surrounded by crittall, and secondly that pendant light. The dark walls and statement floor really make this office a jaw dropping delight.
We love these felt animal heads, you can shop them in the OWT marketplace if you’re looking for some. Mini furniture is a cute addition to any children’s room.
Another understated, yet glamorous space. This bedroom combines dark and soft colour with luxury details like the gold fan.
Ok, we need to talk about this dressing table. How utterly beautiful is everything about it? We absolutely adore those bold monochrome tiles, and the luxury gold detail adds an art deco touch.
The glam dressing room continues on into this gorgeous black and white bathroom.
The family bathroom uses bold colour, perfect for the kids. But look closely and the glamour strikes again with marble flooring and sink tops.
Dark and mysterious sums up this mini loo. Painting a small bathroom like this one black, is a top tip to hide its size.
