If you’ve been following OWT for a while now you’ll know we are big BIG fans of Slim Aarons. I mean, who isn’t? Slim Aarons prints transport you to a glamorous bygone era that have you questioning your very purpose in life. Who were these rich beautiful people galavanting around Palm Springs and Mexico? If you’ve read one of the Slim Aarons books … you’ll know all about them.
It’s all well and good having a gorgeous collection of images in a coffee table book, but it’s next level when one of his prints is on the wall. (Yes, I’ve got one on mine). Whilst we get to sourcing some prints for the OWT shop, let’s take a look at some in beautiful situ.
Kaufman Desert House 111
The Kaufman house has got to be one of the best backdrops and one of our favourite series of photographs that Slim did. If you’re looking for glam this is your one way ticket…
Beverley Hills Hotel
This print adds the perfect finishing touch to this mid century living space, don’t you think? It adds the right amount of hollywood glamour to this otherwise understated room.
Hotel Du Cap Eden
This is the best way to add a touch of luxe beach vibes to a room. We love this one for it’s blue hue and sheer aspiration feelings.
Another luxe and retro beachside shot to add some glamour to your walls.
Beauty and the beast
What Slim did best was to capture celebrities and the wealthy in their own lavish surroundings. This print leant against the wall is lady Daphne Cameron on a tiger skin rug in the trophy room (as you do) at socialite Laddie Sanford’s home in Palm Beach, Florida. What a location.
Which is your fave?
